They say anger can cause a lot of problems, that it is the cause’ of disasters, wars, deaths. True. But anger itself is just a over-prodigious shell of what we believe is the reason when actually, its something else entirely.
Anger is a symptom, a way of cloaking and expressing feelings too awful to experience directly — hurt, bitterness, grief, and, most of all, fear.
We get angry too often, but thats only because we feel to much. We’re emotional beings, we feel everything around us. Most of us fear showing our true feelings because deep down we fear rejection, be it from anyone. We fear it especially from those we trust or those we look upto. Then we get angry when we feel guilty, or when things don’t go our way. All in all, anger is just what happens when we realize we can’t deal with the underlying emotions.
There’s no shame in showing anger once in a while, sometimes all we need is to get away from facing all those feelings within us – but the more you show, the more of a coward you are. A person who cannot face himself can obviously not face the people around him, & using anger all the time only makes him more despicable. A person who finds peace & acceptance within himself on the other hand is a person who can live with much more ease.
Acceptance about who you are & achieving inner piece is something all humans strive to achieve. It is our life mission. All our goals in life are set to achieve nirvana except we don’t know how to follow the path honestly. We get distracted & look at the more materialistic gains than see the underlaying paragon of what we were made to attain.
